The DC Center, a LGBT community resource center for metropolitan DC, is looking for an intern for the fall semester. The intern would be responsible for daily tasks such as responding to community requests, and updating a blog, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

This internship involves both administrative and more substantive work on LGBT community issues. Interested students should be able to work independently and express clear ideas about which project they would like to work on and what contribution they would like to make. Prospective interns are encouraged to visit the website www.thedccenter.org and familiarize themselves with the programs of The DC Center.
Interns may work between the hours of 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and are asked to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week (20 or more preferred), for a minimum time commitment of two months (three months preferred).
Unfortunately The DC Center cannot offer paid internships at this time. Every effort will be made, however, to meet the requirements of your internship.
