Center Global Annual Reception

Please join us as we celebrate the past year of success and look ahead to the coming months for Center Global. We’re a project of the DC Center for the LGBT community, providing support to DC-area LGBTI asylum seekers, asylees and refugees.
The evening’s fare will include:

It’s also our chance to thank our gracious supporters.
Every dollar we raise goes toward Center Global and the incredible work of our volunteers to support our LGBTI participants. It’s with your help that we can raise awareness of asylum-seekers’ needs and of Center Global’s non-government-funded services for those in need throughout the DMV.
We will honor local and international activists with solid records of advocating for LGBTQI human rights in the U.S. and overseas. Center Global will choose the award winners from DC-area nominations.
We look forward to celebrating your efforts, our Center Global family, and to raising funds for continued success in aiding the LGBTI community members in need.
Every donation helps Center Global to support asylum seekers. Here’s how your sponsorship makes a difference:
$1,000 (Platinum sponsorship) supports four asylum seekers for one month
$500 (Gold sponsorship) supports two asylum seekers for one month
$250 (Silver) supports one asylum seeker for one month
$100 (Bronze) provide one month’s worth of Metro cards for one asylum seeker
$60 (Host Committee) provide a week’s worth of groceries for one asylum seeker
Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze sponsors receive one (1) drink ticket per each guest:
Platinum—Six Guests
Gold—Five Guests
Silver—Four Guests
Bronze—Three Guests
Host Committee—Two Guests
Donations at the host committee and sponsor levels are greatly appreciated. Every dollar we raise goes toward assisting asylum seekers and asylees with food, Metro cards, referrals to legal aid and social services, case management and monthly support dinners.
We partner with service providers including: Whitman-Walker Health, Human Rights First, the Asylum Support Assistance Project (ASAP), TASSC International, Casa Ruby and others.
