**Smithsonian National Zoo Recognizes International Family Equality Day For The First Time**

This year the National Zoo is recognizing International Family Equality Day (the date of GDATZ) and is organizing added events and animal enrichment’s that day. Yes you may see the Giant Panda eat a rainbow ice cake!

The annual Gay Day at the Zoo is a DC favorite for the LGBTQ community! For one day, hundreds of LGBTQ folks, families, and allies come together to show their pride and enjoy the animals and sights at the National Zoological Park. Fittingly the event takes place every year on International Family Equality Day and is a staple on the calendar for many LGBTQ families. This year we are excited to announce that we will be featuring programming for families, and youth ages 0 – 18.

Support the work of the DC Center which educates, empowers, celebrates, and connects the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.

Be sure to RSVP on the Facebook event page to keep up with the latest happenings!

A special thanks to our sponsors: Number Nine, Trade, Metro Weekly, Jennifer Fairfax Law Firm, LogoMotion, Steve Oatmayer Productions, Rainbow Families, and First Data.

Show your support and purchase a 2018 Gay Day At The Zoo T-Shirt!

T shirts can be purchased and  picked up at Dukes Counter (3000 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008) on May 6.
