For our next Taking the Stage, Taking a Stand on May 10th, we are introducing a REVOLUTIONARY new storytelling event, LGBTQ SURVIVAL BABIES! We will focus on uplifting voices of the transgender community through individuals sharing their unique, amazing survivor stories.
We have invited a few special guests to share the core experience of their own personal stories of triumph over their most traumatic experiences. Each Survival Baby represents a part of our LGBTQA community, and after the storytelling portion of the event, participants of the event will get a chance to take home and care for your own LGBTQ Survivor Baby during our exciting auction!
Come and hear how much we all have in common in regards to our journeys toward healing and restoration. Our community has experienced so much collectively but individually, we all have a story; and through telling our story, true healing can and will manifest itself.
Each LGBTQ Survivor Baby story is an authentic testimony from our speakers, with the goal of giving each Survival Baby their pain and glory to provide a personal release that is sure to bring freedom.
Each of the babies have been customized and designed to reflect the story tellers and will be auctioned off to support the local Trans community as a whole as we gather funds to support our sisters in preparing for all of the Pride events in our awesome city! The proceeds from this auction will go towards starting a campaign to promote Trans awareness and Trans humanity, so please come on out on MAY 10TH to hear amazing stories and support the transgender community of Washington, DC!!
Can’t wait to see you all there!!
