The Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL) is the only Washington, DC metro area service organization solely dedicated to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Youth Pride Alliance is responsible for the annual production of Youth Pride Day. As a small, all-volunteer run organization, we rely on the support of the community for our programs and services. In addition to Youth Pride Day, we also organize other events for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Queer, and/or Questioning youth throughout the year.

The Mpoderate! program targets gay Latino youth as well as male to female transgender Latino youth. It is fully funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and aims to decrease the epidemic spread of HIV/AIDS within that population. The new site provides a safe space for the group members to participate in program activities and allows them space to freely express their sexual orientation and gender identities.

Campus Pride represents the only national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create a safer college environment for LGBT students. The organization is a volunteer-driven network

The Rainbow Youth Alliance (RYA) serves the community of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, queer, and questioning teens and their allies?known to us as rainbow teens. RYA envisions a future in which rainbow teens have access to safe, nurturing environments where they are respected, listened to, and given information and skills.

The DC Center Youth Working Group is the central hub of information, events, and advocacy for LGBT Youth at the DC Center.

Scouts for Equality is an organization composed largely of Boy Scouts of America alumni dedicated to ending the BSA?s ban on gay members and leaders. As Scouts, we believe discrimination goes against the values our movement teaches us and has no place in Scouting?s future. The Washington DC Chapter of Scouts for Equality invites community members in the National Capital area to assist us in our mission to end discrimination within the Boy Scouts of America.
