Soho Experiential is seeking to hire Brand Ambassadors for a Stoli event next Monday March 18th at Nellies.

You will also need fill in the SoHo Lookbook with the below

  1. Head shot
  2. Body Shot
  3. Experience.

All potential staff for the Stoli team will need to complete a video for the client to review prior to approval to work these events.

  • The video should be super short reciting the script below to showcase your personality.
  • If you need assistance uploading your video, you are welcome to email or text it to me and I will upload it for you. We can also do a video chat and I can record you that way as well; just send me an email to set-up a time.
  • They are looking for staff that can rally the room and stand out in a crowd.

 Stoli Loud & Clear Video Casting Submission :

This program’s success hinges on performers who can bring together a crowd in a fun and interactive way.

Talent with Improv, Tradeshow, Hosting backgrounds are especially welcome.

Looking forward to reviewing your videos and we’ll let you know as soon as the client completes their casting choices.

Set up for your smartphone/iphone video:

  • Be camera-ready
  • Framing of the video should show head to toe
  • Plain wall or background
  • Quiet space

Script:

The energy should be fun and celebratory, welcoming for a large crowd to get excited Stoli.

Center Global will be presenting two awards at its annual fundraising reception on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Room & Board in Logan Circle.

  • The Global Advocate Award is awarded to an individual or organization that has helped to advance global LGBT human rights and to support asylum seekers, asylees, and refugees in the United States
  • The Global Courage Award is awarded to an individual asylum seeker, asylee, or refugee who, while in the diaspora, has worked to support the cause of global LGBT human rights and supported their fellow immigrants in the US.

Please submit the name of the individual or organization whose work you believe is deserving of the Global Advocate Award and/or theGlobal Courage Award using the link below. Please include a brief explanation of the reasons why you believe the individual or organization deserves the award(s).

Diverse City Fund Grant Opportunities

The Diverse City Fund has opened grant applications for the spring of 2019!

The Diverse City Fund works to nurture community leaders and grassroots projects which are acting to transform DC into a more just, vibrant place to live. Through grantmaking, the Diverse City Fund identifies, supports, and connects people in communities of color who are engaged in change work.

They support the development of community-level social change by funding projects that have less access to traditional funding sources.

Funding priorities for this grant cycle are directed toward:

  • Groups that might not get funded by traditional funders, e.g. groups that are small, new volunteer-led, politically radical or activist initiatives, etc.
  • Coalitions / alliances
  • Mobilizations for protests and resistance
  • Organizing and advocacy, and
  • Healing, mental health and cultural liberation work that brings people of color together and prepares people to resist.

Employment Opportunity: Whitman Walker Pharmacy Concierge

Whitman Walker Health is offering a new job opportunity as a concierge for their Maxor pharmacy!

Transmasculine Sexual Health Research Opportunity

Transmasculine Health

Can a mobile app improve sexual health and HIV prevention for transmasculine individuals?  George Washington University is asking transmasculine individuals to participate in four advisory board meetings where they will view a new mobile app and provide feedback.  You may be eligible if

  • you: are 18-34 years old
  • identify as transmasculine
  • reside in the Washington, DC metro area
  • speak English

The purpose of this advisory board is to seek input on:

  • Issues including PrEP, reproductive health, health care resources, and the broader health of transmasculine individuals
  • A mobile app that provides sexual health and HIV prevention information tailored to the specific needs of transmasculine individuals
