A well-rounded and accomplished self-starter; Ran for the Oklahoma State Legislature at the age of twenty-one as the youngest candidate in the state; Raised by a single mother on public assistance to become the first in his family to finish college – eventually earning a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from a top-tier public university; Served as an airborne paratrooper in Alaska and completed two combat tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait.

Selected as a Presidential Management Fellow, taking a position with the U.S. Small Business Administration and managing the Boots to Business Program; Earned his Professional Management Professional Certification while supporting the Office of Small Business Programs at the U.S. Department of Defense as a consultant and managing the Mentor-Protégé Program;  Currently on a contract supporting the Director of Small Business Initiatives at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as a consultant

Scored high enough to be admitted on a motion to the Washington D.C. Bar without retaking the bar exam; Started his own practice as an attorney-at-law and independent consultant in the Washington DC area – working on document review projects, facilitating construction permits, and putting together bids / proposals for small businesses; Earned recognition in the national press for representing a student journalist in Joey Stipek v. the University of Oklahoma and selected for the Ben Blackstock Award in 2012 by FOI Oklahoma for commitment to freedom of information; Founded the Fidelis Law Group, a firm specializing in complex litigation (product liability class action torts) – currently handling about 300 cases expected to generate between $5 – $10 million in fees over the next year.

Recently mounted a challenge against the U.S. Department of Defense’s policy regarding HIV+ servicemembers; Currently serve on the boards for the DC Center and the DC Stonewall Kickball League.
