Center Latinx is hosting Pedal.Pulse.Pride in DC! Pedal.Pulse.Pride is a multi-city bike ride for Queer Trans Intersex Black Indigenous People of Color (QTIBIPOC) and our loved ones! Meet us to ride in DC on Saturday, June 2nd at 11am in Malcolm X Park! Check out the facebook event for updates.

On June 2nd we’ll ride to honor Pride, which was first organized to honor the Stonewall Riots led by QTIBIPOC like Marsha P Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. We will also be commemorating the loved ones we lost at Pulse in Orlando 2016 as well as local community members. We’re also uplifting QTIBIPOC milestones, thriving stories, landmarks and resources in DC. All rides will be led by and will center QTIBIPOC — this ride is for us!

The idea for the ride began in DC, and has now spread to other cities like LA, Atlanta and Charlotte! Want to organize a ride in your city? Fill out this google form and get in motion with our values!

*Accessibility Note: While this is a call for a bicycle ride, we encourage you to develop other ways to commemorate this day through actions that are accessible to you, like petition sharing, organizing a walking meditation, a march, ending a bike ride in a dance party for all bodies, donating money to a disability justice org, etc.

Not a person of color? Donate to bailout Mamas and bring them home for Mother’s Day! #DMVbailout is part of National Mama’s Bail Out Day, which seeks to raise awareness about the human and financial costs of money bail and emphasize its impact on Black mothers and caregivers. Click here to donate!
