SUMMARY:Gay District Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Gay District is a community-based organization focused on build
 ing understanding of gay culture and personal identity\, awareness of comm
 unity events and civil rights for gay\, bi\, trans\, queer\, questioning a
 nd inter-sexed (GBTQQI) men between the ages of 18 and 35 in the Washingto
 n\, DC metropolitan area.\n\nThrough a synthesis of interpersonal interact
 ion and community involvement\, we aim to promote a more productive GBTQQ 
 community and an enlightened understanding of gay urban living. In additio
 n\, we believe that our program will encourage them to become more active 
 in the social justice arena. We strive to reach our mission through facili
 tated discussions\, and regular and ongoing happy hours\, weekend outings\
 , community and cultural events\, volunteer opportunities\, and other occa
 sions created by and for our participants.\n\nJoin Gay District on the fir
 st and third Fridays of each month for a facilitated group discussion. The
  meetings begin at 8:30 PM at the DC Center for the LGBT Community. After 
 the meeting\, members often head out for dinner together in the neighborho
