DESCRIPTION:**Smithsonian National Zoo Recognizes International Family Equa
 lity Day For The First Time**\n\nThis year the National Zoo is recognizing
  International Family Equality Day (the date of GDATZ) and is organizing a
 dded events and animal enrichment's that day. Yes you may see the Giant Pa
 nda eat a rainbow ice cake!\n\nThe annual Gay Day at the Zoo is a DC favor
 ite for the LGBTQ community! For one day\, hundreds of LGBTQ folks\, famil
 ies\, and allies come together to show their pride and enjoy the animals a
 nd sights at the National Zoological Park. Fittingly the event takes place
  every year on International Family Equality Day and is a staple on the ca
 lendar for many LGBTQ families. This year we are excited to announce that 
 we will be featuring programming for families\, and youth ages 0 - 18.\n\n
 Support the work of the DC Center which educates\, empowers\, celebrates\
 , and connects the lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, and transgender communities.
