SUMMARY:Trans Support Group
DESCRIPTION:The Trans Support Group is intended to provide emotionally a
 nd physically safe space for trans* people and those who may be questioni
 ng their gender identity/expression to join together in community and lear
 n from one another.  We welcome all who identify under the trans* umbrel
 la or are unsure\, and seek to continually reinforce our principles of res
 pect\, acceptance and protection through ongoing input from our attendees.
 \n\nWe wish to stress the importance of a safe space where collectively\, 
 folks that identify along the trans spectrum or questioning may share stor
 ies and experiences.  We appreciate the ongoing support of allies\, but a
 sk that due to the vulnerable and sensitive nature of Trans support group\
 , and out of respect for its attendees\, allies may reach out to more appr
 opriate channels better suited toward ally support.\n\nWe have two Trans D
 iscussion Group meetings each month on the first Friday and second Tuesday
  of the month starting at 7pm\n\nWe meet at The DC Center in the Reeves Mu
 nicipal Building\, 2000 14th St NW\, Suite 105. Signs will be posted on th
 e door for our group meeting.\n\nPlease note\, you may be asked for a phot
 o ID as you enter the Reeves Center. The Reeves Center staff have been tra
 ined and understand that photo ID's may not match an individual's gender e
 xpression. If this presents a challenge to you please call the DC Center a
