DESCRIPTION:Have you been meaning to get involved in the LGBT community and
  haven't really known how to start? Join the DC Center in volunteering at 
 Food &amp\; Friends.\n\nFood and Friends prepares and delivers meals and g
 roceries to people living with HIV\, cancer\, and other life challenging i
 llnesses. Our team volunteers in the kitchen on the fourth Saturday of eve
 ry month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Up to 5 volunteers are needed every mon
 th. Food and friends is located at: 219 Riggs Road\, NE. If you need a rid

 ers are utilized in every aspect of our operation. Food Prep &amp\; Packag
 ing volunteers work together to help get meals out the door\, making it a 
 terrific team-building activity\; duties may include peeling\, dicing\, po
 rtioning\, sorting\, bagging\, labeling and more!
