Alpha Psi Kappa is an Non-Profit, Non-Collegiate, Social, and Service Organization for Dominant WoMen. Recruitment for the Fraternity is an ongoing process and we strive to maintain a roster of WoMen that have high ideals and moral standards. The least of our requirements are that you pride yourself on having strong leadership ability, are at least 18 years old, and have a high school diploma, GED, or are enrolled in an institution of higher learning.
We began as the DC Area Feminist Chorus, were known as Bread and Roses Feminist Singers from 1983 to the fall of 2009, and became Fortissima in October 2009. We have the same committment to music and social justice regardless of the name. We are open to all sopranos and altos, regardless of gender, and without audition.
The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. NBJC??s mission is to end racism and homophobia.
Women in Their 20s is a a social discussion group for lesbian, bisexual, transgendered & other interested women in Washington, D.C. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. GU Pride is Georgetown University’s group for LGBTQIA students. We provide academic, political, and social programming for the whole Georgetown community.
