We were always here. But on Broadway, we took center stage.

Billed as a musical history of gay Broadway, the concert will be a toe-tapping, dance-filled spectacle tracing the gay rights movement through the Broadway musical. Gay culture didn’t find its way on Broadway. It paved the road to Broadway. Songs include “I Hope I Get It,” “One Song Glory,” “Willkommen,” “If You Were Gay,” “Wig in a Box,” and “I Am What I Am.” The concert will feature the full chorus, along with the GenOUT Chorus, 17th Street Dance, and vocal ensembles Potomac Fever and Seasons of Love. Costume design is by Gary Turner.

The production will be directed by Frank Shutts, with music direction by GMCW Artistic Director Thea Kano and choreography by Craig Cipollini and James Ellzy.
