The clothing closet here at the DC Center is a FREE resource for community members to use. Clothes of all sizes are included! From professional wear, coats, shoes, to bras etc. All is available for you to take home. Anyone who wishes to take any clothing home may do so with no appointment necessary. We do not offer fitting rooms.
DONATE (Donate Non Perishables and Clothing)
Let us know how approximate amounts of clothing you’re looking to donate. Clothes should be washed, have no holes and be in good condition. We do not accept underwear. We often need larger-sized clothes but will accept all sizes, except for children’s clothes. At this time we aren’t able to accept clothing for children as demand is extremely low at our location. If you have children’s clothes, let us know and we can try to connect you with other organizations. Accessories in high demand: shoes (esp. business appropriate and larger sizes), backpacks, belts, reusable bags, luggage.
Dropping off Donations – You can bring all donations during our regular hours 12-6 Mon-Fri and 11-3 on Sat. If you’re coming on Saturday, be sure to call 202.682.2245 so we know to expect you!
