July Latinx Coalition Meeting / Reunion de julio de la Coalicion Latinx

This month’s meeting of the Latinx Coalition ~ a coalition of Latinx LGBTQIA+ people and groups in the DC area ~ is co-hosted by Center Latinx and the Latino GLBT History Project.
We invite our Latinx LGBTQIA+ community to join us on Thursday, July 26 at 6pm at the dc center to hear about the Latino History Project’s oral histories program, and be part of the our local hxstory. Learn about how the oral history project works, and get ready to interview and/or be interviewed for the project. We will provide all the interview materials to record audio and prepare you to document our stories. and of course – there will be snacks!
*Accessibility Note About the Space* This event will be at the DC Center, located on the 1st floor of the reeves center, a government building, on the corner of 14th and U Street NW. The space, including the bathroom, is accessible for all mobility devices. There’s some street parking available but not much. The reeves is 2.5 blocks away from U street metro stop on yellow and green lines, and next to buses that run on 14th Street. You can enter the building on the U Street side where building security officials will ask you to sign your name and to see your ID **You are not required to show ID** A member of Center Latinx will be there at the front entrance to welcome you and assist you.

La reunion de este mes de la Coalicion Latinx ~ una coalicion de personas y grupos Latinx LGBTQIA+ en el area de DC ~ sera co-patrocinada por Centro Latinx y el Latino GLBT History Project.
Invitamos a nuestra comunidad Latinx LGBTQIA+ a que vengan el jueves 26 de julio a las 6pm en el dc center para conocer mas sobre el programa de historia oral del Latino History Project, y para que sean parte de nuestra historia local. Aprenda sobre como trabaja el proyecto de historia oral, y preparense a ser entrevistadxs y/o realizar entrevistas. Les proveeremos todxs lxs materiales para hacer entrevistas y grabar audio, y prepararlxs a documentar nuestras historias. ¡y pues claro, habra bocadillos!
*Nota Sobre Accesibilidad del Espacio* El DC Center, localizado en el primer piso del edificio Reeves, un edificio del gobierno, en la esquina de las calles 14 y la U NW. El espacio, incluso los baños, son accesible por todo tipo de aparatos de mobilidad. Hay un poco de parqueo en la calle pero no mucho. El edificio queda a 2.5 cuadras de la parada de metro U Street en las lineas amarillas y verdes, y esta al lado de paradas de buses que corren sobre la calle 14. Pueden entrar el edificio por la calle U. Al entrar, un oficial de seguridad del edificio lxs preguntara que firme su nombre y que muestren identificacion **No estan requiridxs de mostrar su ID** Un miembrx de Centro Latinx estara en la entrada para darles la bienvenidx y asistirlx.
