¡Vamos a festejar!
La Coalición Latinx tendra una fiestita este viernes para celebrar el fin de año y compartir nuestros sueños para el proximo año. Estan invitadx a traer comida y refrescos para compartir, y como siempre les tendremos pupusas calientitas de Judy’s Restaurant. Estaremos en celebracion este viernes 8 de diciembre de 6-7:30PM en el Centro de DC Para la Comunidad LGBT, localizado en 2000 14th Street NW, Suite 105, adentro del edificio Reeves en la 14 calle y la U. Por favor noten tal vez les preguntaran por su identificación al entrar al edificio. Venga a disfrutar con nosotrxs – lxs esperemos este viernes!
La Coalición Latinx esta organizado por Centro Latinx, un programa del Centro de DC Para la Comunidad LGBT. Centro Latinx es un espacio para Latinxs queer, trans, género no-binario, afrodescendiente, Indígena, Dos Espíritus, y con discapacidades en el DMV (DC, Maryland, y Virginia) para conectar / crear / transformer. Organizamos reuniones mensuales de la Coalición Latinx cada cuarto jueves del mes a las 6pm en el Centro DC Para la Comunidad LGBT – la proxima reunion sera el 22 de febrero 2018. Tambien organizamos talleres sobre la justicia de lenguaje y sobre el racismo anti-negro, noches para escribir cartas a personas encarceladxs, eventos de arte y cultura, y mas. Let’s celebrate!
The Latinx Coalition is hosting a small party this Friday to celebrate the year’s end and share our wishes for the next year. You are invited to bring food and refreshments to share, and as always, we will have pupusas from Judy’s Restaurant for you. We will be in celebration this Friday December 8th from 6-7:30pm at The DC Center for the LGBT Community, located at 2000 14th Street NW, Suite 105, inside the Reeves building on 14th and U Street. Please note you may be asked to show ID upon entering the building. Come celebrate with us – we’ll see you this Friday!
The Latinx Coalition is hosted by Center Latinx, a program of the The DC LGBT Center. Center Latinx is a space for queer, trans, gender non-conforming, Black, brown, Indigenous, Two-Spirit, and disabled Latinxs in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) to connect / build / transform. We host monthly meetings of the Latinx Coalition every 4th Thursday of the month at 6pm at The DC LGBT Center – our next meeting is Feb 22, 2018. We also organize workshops on language justice and anti-Black racism, letter writing nights to support incarcerated folx, arts and cultural events, and more. Follow us on twitter and facebook!
