Have you ever been affected so deeply by something that only a song, dance move, or poetry verse could express how you felt?   Maybe part of you sees value in sharing that beautiful moment or  witnessing it come alive in someone else gives you hope or strength…If this is you then it just might be time to take the stage and take a stand!  After the success of our last event in and due to many requests from the community, we are so proud to present our next event in the series, Taking the Stage, Taking a Stand: LGBTQ Voices Against Violence!

We are currently seeking any LGBTQA artists who would like to perform at this event! If you, or someone you know, is a poet, dancer, singer, artist, or would like to express feelings about targeted violence in the DC area through an artistic medium, please contact Sam Goodwin at samantha@thedccenter.org.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!!
