The mission of the Imperial Court of Washington, D.C. is to raise funds for organizations, including but not limited to those supporting just the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community: HIV/AIDS services organizations, social service organizations and youth enrichment programs. GaySpirits is a day and a half retreat designed to explore the spiritual lives of gay men. Since many gay men are turned away by their spiritual traditions they often reject all religion. The GaySpirits weekend, in a non-threatening gay-positive setting, examines gay men’s self image, shame, and guilt.
