Youth

The District of Columbia celebrates LGBTQ issues in many ways, but we have a long way to go to ensure that the youngest residents live in a community where they feel safe, respected, and connected. The Youth Working Group was formed in 2011 to ensure that local LGBTQ youth are guaranteed these things. Our core priorities are: safe shelter; freedom from bullying; affirming law, policies, and practices; and avenues to success.
