This month’s meeting of the Latinx Coalition ~ a coalition of Latinx LGBTQIA+ people and groups in the DC area ~ is co-hosted by Center Latinx and Trans-Latinx DMV.
Join us as we honor Latinx Heritage Month on Thursday, September 27 from 6-7:30pm at the dc center. We’ll be graced by the presence of Xemiyulu Tapepechul, Director of Art & Culture at Trans-Latinx DMV, who will share more about their incredible work and how you can get involved. We’ll have pupusas from Judy’s for you!
*Accessibility Note About the Space* This event will be at the DC Center, located on the 1st floor of the reeves center, a government building, on the corner of 14th and U Street NW. The space, including the bathroom, is accessible for all mobility devices. There’s some street parking available but not much. The reeves is 2.5 blocks away from U street metro stop on yellow and green lines, and next to buses that run on 14th Street. You can enter the building on the U Street side where building security officials will ask you to sign your name and to see your ID **You are not required to show ID** A member of Center Latinx will be there at the front entrance to welcome you and assist you.

La reunión de este mes de la Coalición Latinx ~ una coalición de personas y grupos Latinx LGBTQIA+ en el área de DC ~ será co-patrocinada por Centro Latinx y Trans-Latinx DMV.
Lxs invitamos a que vengan a celebrar el mes de la herencia Latinx el jueves 27 de septiembre de 6-7:30pm en el dc center. Estamos emocionadxs de estar con Xemiyulu Tapepechul, Directora de Arte y Cultura en Trans-Latinx DMV, quien compartirá información sobre su trabajo increible y como te puedes involucrar! ¡Tendremos pupusas de Judy’s para todxs!
*Nota Sobre Accesibilidad del Espacio* El DC Center, localizado en el primer piso del edificio Reeves, un edificio del gobierno, en la esquina de las calles 14 y la U NW. El espacio, incluso los baños, son accesible por todo tipo de aparatos de movilidad. Hay un poco de parqueo en la calle pero no mucho. El edificio queda a 2.5 cuadras de la parada de metro U Street en las líneas amarillas y verdes, y está al lado de paradas de buses que corren sobre la calle 14. Pueden entrar el edificio por la calle U. Al entrar, un oficial de seguridad del edificio lxs preguntara que firmen su nombre y que muestren identificación **No estan requiridxs de mostrar su ID** Un miembrx de Centro Latinx estará en la entrada para darles la bienvenidx y asistirlx.
