It’s that time of year again! Time to gather around with your community and enjoy good food. In other words, it’s time for the Gay District Annual Potluck!
The event will be on Friday, November 16th at 8 PM in the DC Center. Everyone is welcome! Since this is a potuck, please bring a an entree, beverage, or dessert to share. Please let us know us what you will be bringing. You can send us a Facebook message or post on the wall of the event. Please RSVP as soon as possible as it allows us to plan accordingly! We hope you can make it!
Gay District is a community-based organization focused on building understanding of gay culture and personal identity, awareness of community events and civil rights for gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and inter-sexed (GBTQQI) men between the ages of 18 and 35 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Through a synthesis of interpersonal interaction and community involvement, we aim to promote a more productive GBTQQ community and an enlightened understanding of gay urban living. In addition, we believe that our program will encourage them to become more active in the social justice arena. We strive to reach our mission through facilitated discussions, and regular and ongoing happy hours, weekend outings, community and cultural events, volunteer opportunities, and other occasions created by and for our participants.
