Many of us have been deeply affected by last Shabbat’s attack on the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, and you may need some support in processing your grief.  GLOE and the DC Center would like to invite LGBTQ (and ally) members of our local faith communities to join GLOE next Thursday at 6:30 pm for a community support gathering we are hosting at The DC Center for the LGBTQ Community on 14th & U Streets NW.  Openly queer-identified Rabbi Laurie Green of congregation Bet Mishpachah will open our program with Jewish insights on mourning, and gay psychiatrist Dr. Stuart Sotsky will be leading a facilitated conversation where individuals can share their thoughts and feelings, and collectively process this trauma in a safe, LGBTQ-centered space.  A vegetarian dinner will also be served.

See the Facebook event page here.

Please note that this gathering is free and open to allies of the LGBTQ Jewish community, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and ability.  (For accommodation requests such as ASL interpretation, please email gloe@edcjcc.org.)
