Join Center Arts as we welcome Miguel Espinoza and celebrate his work! Naked Unafraid will be on display in the DC Center’s Art Gallery beginning Monday, July 11th, and below you can RSVP for a special night with the artist.
Miguel’s exhibit in his own words:
To experience nudity as a subject, or behold it as an observer, requires immense courage. In Naked Unafraid I have attempted to capture transient moments of vulnerability and fearlessness in the face of a rigid society. My work is an exploration of the honesty and trust needed to share one’s most intimate self with the world, and to witness and appreciate it as an onlooker.
In these paintings I use bright vibrant brushstrokes to shed light on the experience that is often reserved for the shadows to highlight the audacity of nudity in the contemporary world. These works are fleeting glimpses of beauty and boldness that would otherwise be confined to the darkness.
All attendees will be required to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative test within the past 72 hours along with a matching photo ID. Proof of vaccination can be a physical vaccine card or a photo of the vaccine card.
All attendees are to wear their mask if not eating or drinking and will be socially distanced.
